Surveillance Software

Every Camera, One Console

Monitor IP cameras and NVRs across all your sites from one secure dashboard, with event alerts, retention rules and a full audit trail.

Overview

What it does

Most businesses with more than one location end up with a different NVR at every site, each with its own login and its own idea of how long footage is kept. This software brings them together. It connects to IP cameras and recorders over ONVIF and RTSP, so mixed brands can sit on one console, and shows live and recorded video across warehouses, branches, plants or campuses from a single dashboard. Motion and event rules raise alerts to the right person on web, mobile or WhatsApp instead of waiting for someone to notice. Role-based access decides who can view which cameras, who can export clips, and who can change settings, and every view, export and configuration change is written to an audit log. Retention policies are set per camera or per site, so footage is kept as long as your policy requires and deleted when it should be. Where cameras capture identifiable people, the system supports the notice, access control and retention discipline that the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 expects.

Features

Key capabilities

  • ONVIF and RTSP integration

Connects to standards-compliant IP cameras and NVRs from mixed brands, so you can keep existing hardware instead of replacing it to get a unified view.

  • Multi-site monitoring

Live view, playback and camera health for every location in one console, with site and zone grouping so a regional manager sees only their branches.

  • Motion and event alerts

Rules for motion in restricted zones, after-hours activity, camera offline or tampering, routed to the responsible person on web, mobile or WhatsApp.

  • Access control and audit logs

Role-based permissions for viewing, exporting and configuring, with every action logged by user and time so footage handling can be reviewed later.

Benefits

What changes for your team

  • One login for every camera and site
  • Keep existing ONVIF-compatible cameras and NVRs
  • Alerts reach the right person, not a wall of screens
  • Retention rules enforced automatically per site
  • Clear record of who viewed or exported footage
  • Supports DPDP Act obligations for personal data

FAQ

Surveillance Software: common questions

Will it work with the CCTV cameras and NVRs we already have?

In most cases, yes. The software connects over ONVIF and RTSP, the open standards supported by most current IP cameras and network video recorders, so mixed brands can run on one console. Older analogue cameras usually work through the DVR or NVR they already record to, provided that recorder exposes a network stream. During scoping we test a sample of your actual devices rather than assume compatibility, and we tell you plainly if any unit needs a firmware update or replacement.

Does the software use facial recognition?

No. We do not build facial recognition or identification of members of the public into this product. The system focuses on monitoring, motion and event detection, camera health, controlled access to footage and retention. Identifying individuals from video raises serious privacy and legal questions, and most businesses get the security outcomes they need without it. If you have a specific operational requirement, we discuss it openly during scoping, including whether it is appropriate at all.

How does the DPDP Act 2023 affect CCTV footage?

Footage that shows identifiable people is personal data under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, so the organisation recording it carries obligations. In practice that means telling people they are being recorded, using footage only for the stated purpose, restricting who can access it, keeping it no longer than needed and protecting it against misuse. The software supports this with role-based access, audit logs and automatic retention. Your legal adviser should confirm how the Act and its rules apply to your situation.

Can we monitor several sites from head office and on mobile?

Yes. Cameras from every location appear in one dashboard, grouped by site and zone, and authorised users can view live video, play back recordings and receive alerts on a phone. Access is scoped by role, so a branch manager sees only their branch while the security head sees everything. Bandwidth matters for remote viewing, so we plan stream quality and recording location per site, keeping recording local where links are weak and streaming lower-resolution feeds to the central console.

How is the price decided?

Surveillance software is quoted after scoping rather than from a price list. The main drivers are the number of cameras and sites, whether recording stays on existing NVRs or moves to central storage, the alert rules and integrations you need, and whether you want cloud, on-premise or hybrid hosting. We send a fixed quote for the build, with any recurring hosting or support costs listed separately so you can see exactly what repeats each year.
