iOS App Development for iPhone and iPad

ConvertriX builds iPhone and iPad apps in Swift for businesses that need a polished, reliable iOS presence. We design to Apple's Human Interface Guidelines, plan for App Store review from the first sprint, set up APNs push and in-app payments correctly, and publish under your own Apple Developer account.

Overview

About our ios app development service

iPhone users in India are a smaller share of the market than Android users, but they are often the customers who spend more, book premium services and expect an app to feel finished. That raises the bar. An iOS app has to follow platform conventions people already know, such as swipe-back navigation, native share sheets, Face ID sign-in and Dynamic Type, or it feels like a port. We build in Swift and SwiftUI so the app behaves the way iPhone users expect, and we test across current and older iPhones and iPad sizes.

The App Store review is where many iOS launches lose weeks. Apple checks privacy declarations, sign-in options, account deletion, payment rules and whether the app offers enough value beyond a wrapped website. We plan for these guidelines during scoping rather than discovering them at submission. That includes privacy nutrition labels that match what the code actually collects, App Tracking Transparency prompts only where tracking is real, Sign in with Apple when other social logins are offered, and an in-app path to delete an account.

Payments need the same care. Physical goods and real-world services can be paid through Razorpay, Cashfree or Apple Pay, while digital content and subscriptions consumed inside the app generally fall under Apple's in-app purchase rules. We set that boundary clearly so review does not reject the build late. As an app development company in Odisha serving clients across India, we also align data handling with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, keeping personal data collection minimal and consent recorded.

What's included

Everything in scope, written down

  • Scoping and App Store readiness check

A feature list and screen map reviewed against Apple's guidelines, so risky features such as payments or sign-in are planned correctly from the start.

  • iOS design to Apple guidelines

Figma screens that follow the Human Interface Guidelines, with support for Dynamic Type, dark mode, safe areas and iPad layouts where needed.

  • Native Swift development

A Swift and SwiftUI codebase with a clean architecture, so features can be extended without breaking existing screens.

  • Sign-in and security

Phone OTP, email, Sign in with Apple and Face ID or Touch ID, with tokens stored in the Keychain rather than in plain storage.

  • Payments

Razorpay or Cashfree SDK and Apple Pay for physical goods and services, or StoreKit in-app purchases where Apple's rules require them.

  • Push notifications

APNs notifications, sent directly or through Firebase Cloud Messaging, with deep links that open the right screen in the app.

  • Backend and admin panel

APIs, database and a web admin panel, or integration with your existing backend, CRM or ERP.

  • TestFlight and App Store launch

TestFlight beta builds, App Store Connect setup, privacy labels, screenshots and submission through to approval.

Process

How the project runs

  1. 1

    Discovery and guideline review

We agree scope, user roles and the minimum iOS version, and flag any feature that needs special handling in App Store review.

  2. 2

    Design and prototype

Core flows are designed in Figma and tested on an iPhone as a clickable prototype before development starts.

  3. 3

    Development in sprints

Features ship in two-week sprints, each ending with a TestFlight build you can install and review on your own device.

  4. 4

    Device and edge-case testing

Testing across iPhone and iPad sizes and iOS versions, including poor network, interrupted payments and denied permissions.

  5. 5

    Submission and review

We prepare metadata, privacy labels and review notes with demo credentials, then submit and respond to any reviewer questions.

  6. 6

    Launch and monitoring

Crash reports and App Store Connect analytics are monitored after release, with quick fixes shipped as real usage comes in.

Pricing

How this is priced

iOS apps are quoted per project because the effort depends on scope. The main cost drivers are screen count and complexity, iPad support, sign-in and payment methods, in-app purchases or subscriptions, backend and admin work, and integrations with your existing systems. The Apple Developer Program fee, hosting and third-party API costs are listed separately. After a scoping call we send a fixed-scope quote split into phases, so each stage is clear before you approve it.

FAQ

iOS App Development: common questions

Do I need a separate iOS app if I already have an Android app?

Not always. If your Android app is native Kotlin, an iOS version means a separate Swift build, though the backend and designs can be reused. If you are starting fresh and need both platforms, a cross-platform Flutter or React Native app is often more economical. We look at your existing code, audience and feature list before recommending which route makes sense.

Why do apps get rejected by the App Store, and how do you avoid it?

Most rejections come from privacy declarations that do not match the app, missing account deletion, payment rule issues, crashes during review or an app that is little more than a website. We check each of these during scoping and before submission, provide reviewers with demo credentials and clear notes, and fix any feedback quickly if Apple does raise a question.

Can I accept Razorpay or UPI payments in an iOS app?

Yes, for physical goods and real-world services such as orders, bookings and deliveries. These can use Razorpay, Cashfree, UPI apps installed on the phone or Apple Pay. Digital content or subscriptions unlocked inside the app generally have to use Apple's in-app purchase system instead. We map each paid feature to the right method during scoping so the build passes review.

Whose Apple Developer account is the app published under?

Your own. We help you enrol your business in the Apple Developer Program and publish under that account, so the app, its ratings and its customer data belong to you. An organisation account needs a D-U-N-S number, which can take time to obtain, so we start that step early to avoid delaying the launch.
