IT Consulting and Ongoing Technology Support

ConvertriX gives growing businesses independent technology advice and dependable support. We review your current systems, help you decide what to build, buy or retire, write requirements before you sign with any vendor, and look after your applications after launch. The aim is fewer surprises, sensible spend and software decisions you can explain to your board.

Overview

About our it consulting & support service

Many owners and managers make large technology decisions without anyone on their side who understands software. A vendor demo looks convincing, a quote arrives with a long list of modules, and the business signs without knowing whether the product fits, what it will cost to run in three years, or what happens to its data if the relationship ends. IT consulting puts an experienced technical adviser in the room before that commitment, asking the questions vendors are not motivated to raise.

We start with what you have. A systems review lists every application, who owns it, what it costs, how data flows between tools and where the risks sit, such as shared passwords, unpatched servers or a single developer holding all the knowledge. From there we build a practical roadmap: what to fix now, what to replace and when, and where a packaged tool like Zoho, Tally Prime or an industry SaaS product will serve you better than custom development. Sometimes the best advice is to stop a project, and we will give it.

Support is the other half of the job. Software needs patching, monitoring, backups and small changes long after launch, and many businesses discover that only when the original developer stops answering calls. We take over support for applications we built and for systems built by others, after an initial code and infrastructure review. Support covers bug fixes, security updates, user help and change requests under an agreed response process, with data protection practices aligned to the DPDP Act 2023.

Pricing

How this is priced

Consulting is priced as a defined engagement, such as a systems review or software selection, while support runs as a monthly arrangement. Consulting cost depends on the number of systems, sites and stakeholders involved and the depth of review required. Support cost depends on how many applications we look after, their condition and age, expected change volume and the response times you need. After an initial call, we send a fixed-scope quote.

FAQ

IT Consulting & Support: common questions

Why hire an IT consultant instead of asking a software vendor directly?

An independent consultant works for you, while a vendor's advice naturally leans toward its own product. We assess your requirements first, compare packaged and custom options on licence, running and exit costs, and help you negotiate scope and terms. That reduces the risk of signing for software that looks good in a demo but does not fit your processes or budget.

Can you support software that another company built?

Yes. We begin with a review of the code, hosting, access and documentation to understand what we are taking on and to flag any urgent risks. Once access is transferred to accounts you control and the main issues are understood, we take over support for bug fixes, security updates and changes. Where the codebase is in poor shape, we explain the options plainly.

What does a technology roadmap include?

A technology roadmap lists what to fix, replace, integrate or retire, in priority order, with the reasons and rough sequencing for each step. It covers business applications, integrations, hosting, security and data, and links each change to a business goal such as faster billing or better reporting. It is written for owners and managers, not only for technical staff.

Do you help with DPDP Act compliance?

We help with the technical side of DPDP Act 2023 readiness. That includes mapping where personal data lives in your systems, tightening access controls, adding consent and deletion features, improving logging and backups, and choosing hosting in India where appropriate. Legal interpretation, privacy notices and contracts should be reviewed by a qualified lawyer, and we work alongside your adviser where needed.
